This little (as of 2008) tree came as a shoot from the yard of the Saluda house. There are clumps of them in Saluda that are as big as houses themselves. We'll see.
We've already seen how prolific they can be; this one had babies coming up from its roots ten feet and more away the first season.
These are pictures from mid-October, the fruiting stage.
Next year we'll remember to get some shots of the little star-shaped white flowers.
